Details:
The session will provide an overview of some of the programmes that can be used to increase interactivity into both synchronous and asynchronous online learning sessions for Higher Education. The session will look at Creating interactive asynchronous activities: including Formative learning tasks through Genial.ly and Argument Building discussion boards through https://www.kialo-edu.com/, and How to Create Interactive Non-linear presentations and annotated documents through Genial.ly.

Do you think genially platform is more for visual learners?

I think it is certainly more appealing for visual learners, but that it works for all learners. It certainly tackles that initial perception issue that visual learners may have with more traditional learning approaches, encouraging them to engage with the activity.

For the most part the feedback I had from students was that the interactive and playful nature of the activities were a welcome break from heavy undergraduate study.
